Co-Founder
Melissa Johnson has extensive experience in museums, historic preservation, and teaching. She holds both a BS and MA from Texas Woman’s University in History. A seasoned educator with over 20 years of teaching experience at the college and university level, Johnson is known for her expertise in virtual education and innovative teaching methods. As the former development director at the Museum of the American Railroad, Melissa has designed hands-on museum learning experiences and professional development workshops.
Patience LeBlanc
Co-Founder
Patience LeBlanc brings more than 25 years of educational experience including teaching and curriculum development. She holds a BA from Texas A&M University and a MA from Texas Woman’s University in History. Her diverse career spans from middle and high school teaching to serving as the Secondary Social Studies Coordinator at Frisco Independent School District. LeBlanc’s excellence in history education has earned her prestigious accolades and teaching awards. LeBlanc’s expertise ensures that Museum Mavens’ educational offerings are both historically rich and thoughtfully designed to engage learners of all ages.
